S+T "Hot Products"

Derek Wong <dawong@...>

I just an early copy of the December S+T. Congratulations to Charles
Sinsofsky, whose DSV program received both an excellent review AND
inclusion as one of the 25 hottest products of 1999!

The only thing on the list that I think is close is the Night Sky
Observer's Guide, a tremendous piece of work. Al Nagler slipped his 31
Nagler 5 in, but that was cheating as it really won't ship in time.

I don't remember if the AP-GTO mounts were included last year, but these
should have made the 1998 list.

Derek---

Actually the N31's are in transit at this moment. The dealers should have
the initial shipment by weeks end.

P.S. A most impressive piece, did a preliminary looksee vs. P35 in my
Traveler.

Charles---

My initial impressions, albeit brief, showed less aberration near the edge of
the field while having a decidedly larger true field. Very comfortable to use,
no I don't wear glasses ( I should ;) ). Take this all w/ a grain of salt as the
time spent so far using the N31 has been minimal. Hopefully this will change
come the weekend.
