Power Adapter for 1100AE

Bill Long

Hey AP'ers,

I am working on a remote setup for my CDK14 and AP1100AE and I am running all of my devices through a DLI Pro IP Power Switch.

I came across this nifty AC adapter from Powerwerx:

I wanted to use this with my AP1100AE mount, but read the specs and it says it can provide 4A of continuous power, with 5.5A surge. My question is, would this be sufficient to power the mount? The specs says 5A continuous, so I am thinking this will not work, but figured I would ask anyhow.

Thanks,
Bill

Sorry Chris to bug you again, but would there be any advantage to using this 18V version instead?

5 amps is sufficient to power an 1100 mount.
