Polar Alignment App #Polar_Alignment

Hi all!
I would like to install the AP Polar Alignment app on my smartphone to use the RAPAS. However, when I type these words in the Play Store search engine, I find different apps that are not directly related to AP's RAPAS. How could I access the correct app? Thanks! |

Francois,
I can’t speak for the other APPs, but the one I’ve used over the years, and like, on my Android phone and tablet is “PolarFinder.” It has the RAPAS reticle (among others).
It’s the one with a solid blue background and the Little Dipper in yellow stars icon. And it’s written by Jozsef Lazar.
I don’t know what the default reticle is, but tap the “wrench” tool icon at the top and then change the “Reticle Type” to “Astro-Physics.”

Polar Scope Align also works fine and offers many reticles including RAPAS.

There is another thread on this topic from a year or two ago. It seemed that the original author of the RAPAS Polar Alignment App passed away and the app was no longer being supported. The new version to use is the Polar Scope Align. It is nearly identical to the original.
