LED in Mach2 RA?

Just a quick question: What does the blue LED shining through the little hole at the bottom of the RA housing indicate?

Guessing that is from the read head on the encoder. Green or blue == good.

What color would it be if an issue occurred Rolando? Always wondered
what that was for. Got it out tonight. Sure can't read a star map
with it :)

Speaking of puppies, this one just finished vaccination today and gets to help dad pick out Astrophotography projects for spring and chew on yak cheese for being good.
Note she has 2 blue led's as well.
