APPM DEC ARC model run
Hi
Due to a month of clouds, I set up the scope indoors to trial a DEC ARC model run using the NASA camera. I am running this on the 1100 GTO AE with the scope unparked and tracking from Park 3. In trying to create the model, I run into 2 errors. - South limit reached (happens within seconds of the first slew) - the scope does slew after a while even I don't clear the error, but then pointing at the meridian, the slew never completes on the first point. Not sure what I am doing wrong here. Screenshots attached. I can provide any other relevant information needed to troubleshoot. Thank you Bharath |

I realized that the screenshots are too small. Here is a dropbox link to the above pictures - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/43xoai86pykf5i3qn27jt/h?dl=0&rlkey=rpomu28xytrsowl5g60vsj4od

Bharath,
Please check the limits on the "AE" tab in APCC. The information on this tab will show you where the encoder limits are relative your position and will give you the ability to change or disable them. If you move the clutches, the home and limits will rotate and need to be re-established. There are instructions available within APCC to assist you. Click on an "?" icon to access them. Regards, Mike Hanson |

Thank you Mike. That took care of it. All is good now.

Hi Bharath Also doublecheck you are on the correct versions of ASCOM and APCC - I see your ascom driver indicates there's an update (Just confirming the version you want to be on) Thank you Mike. That took care of it. All is good now. --

Thank you Brian. Just noticed that myself. Updating now.

When I run a small model using the NASA cam, everything completes fine, but I do not get a prompt to install the model in APCC. Does that happen only when running it for real with plate solves or am I missing some setting to get a prompt to install the completed model run?
Thank you |

Hi Bharath I have to look into this, but just FYI from the documentation: "You can collect test point data during the day by using NASA SkyView, but you don't want to load that data into APCC and use it at night because the data does not actually model the mount hardware."
