AP900 GTO CP3 and AsiAir Plus #asi_air_plus
Hello, my name is Fabien from France, 2 questions : - First : I tried to connect for the first time my AP900 GTO CP3 mount to my new (updated) AsiAir Plus box.The firmware version of my CP3 is also up to date (4.19.3). (The pad isn't connected to the mount) I cannot connect my mount with the AstroPhysics CP3/4 protocole offered by ASIAIR Plus : why?
- Second question : Once I have carried out the polar align procedure with the AsiAir Plus (firmware also updated), I point my first object with the mount in the 60° position (i.e. in the end of procedure position of the polar align).
Thank you very much for your HELP :)
N/B : this is my first picture made with my setup https://www.astrobin.com/cqe9hp/ Best regards, Fabien.

Hello Fabien I have just finished some testing with my CP3 and ASIAir, here is some feedback >>>I cannot connect my mount with the AstroPhysics CP3/4 protocole offered by ASIAIR Plus : why? I can connect CP3 with the CP3/4 option only if I am using an FTDI serial adapter. Prolific (or other types) do not connect to this driver Also, using any of the CP connectors (legacy, CP2, etc.) will offer the same functionality for ASIAir. There will be no penalty to using any of the other mount connections. ASIAir does not enable advanced capabilities of third party mounts >>>The mount at this time systematically goes upside down. I have to, after the polar align procedure, put the mount in "home position" from the AsiAir Plus function, then point my object. The mount at this time is working properly. Why does she have this behavior please? This seems to be an ASIAir issue with many different mounts. I do not have a solution for you other than what you suggested. In addition, ASIAir does not allow for park/unpark from specific park positions, so you must take take when you unpark your mount it should be from the correct "last parked" position Brian On Tue, Mar 28, 2023 at 11:03 AM Fabien <fabien@...> wrote:

Hello Brian, Thank you for your answer. I received the FTDI USB/DB9 cable last night. I'll try to do some testing this weekend. >>> This seems to be an ASIAir issue with many different mounts.
