APCC v1.9.6.3 Best Method of Connection #appc

Hi Folks,

I have an 1100GTO with AE.  Previously I connected to the CP4 with the 15 ft serial cable that came with the mount because it was said to be the most reliable connection at the time.  I recently upgraded to APCC Pro v1.9.6.3 with Rest API.  I can still connect to the CP4 serial (Com 3), as well as network and WiFi.  TheSkyX seems to work well with APCC when I’m connected via serial.  Is serial still preferred or should I switch to network with Rest API?

Hi Don

you can still use your serial connection between the mount and your computer

REST API is the connection between APCC and ASCOM driver. It's independent of the mount connection
