Daylight Savings Change for Keypad v4.19.5 and earlier
George
Astronuts,
It’s that time of year to change the clocks. If you are using Keypad firmware version v4.19.5 and earlier, please see: https://astro-physics.info/tech_support/mounts/keypad/daylight-savings-change-in-keypad.pdf

Since you qualified this for v4.19.5 and earlier, I got curious
about v5.010.

I found the answer on page 31 of the keypad manual for v5.010. There is an option in the Locations & Time menu called QwkDST. It looks like you can choose that option to see the current time. If you press ENT on the keypad at that page, it will toggle the DST setting. You can verify the new time and press ENT to confirm the change. Nifty. On 11/4/22 13:18, George wrote:

Yes, it is a piece of cake with the v5.010 firmware.

Hello George
Thanks for the refresher on DST change in keypads using Ver 4. In the instructions following step 5(d) entering the new time, do we still need to select "0" Winter in the menu below the time entry section? Regards Don |

Does anything need to be done for those of us who don’t use a keypad?

And for those who normally image and control their mount from their PC, but do have the keypad hooked up for occasional use - ensure the keypad is in EXT mode so that it allows the PC to initialize the controller rather than it doing it at power-on. /dale |
