Unfortunately, something may be corrupted in your Windows install. Someone else had a similar error, and it only went away after a complete reinstall of Windows. Here is the thread: https://ap-gto.groups.io/g/main/message/85086 -Ray -----Original Message----- |

Prior to that -- you can try to run the System File Checker SFC.exe /scannow or run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth

Hi Bill,
Prior to that -- you can try to run the System File Checker SFC.exe /scannow or runYes, good idea! Hopefully that will work, but there are things that can be corrupted (or out of date) besides O/S files, like registry entries, or non-system DLLs installed by some other application that happen to be a dependency for the driver. For example, another app had the same error, and this link has the response from Microsoft: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/openpdf-sub-error-number-50003-unexpected-error/e6b93555-43f3-462e-b561-db8932 b80bd1 Unfortunately, the last entry indicated it did not work for someone. -Ray |

For sure, it's basically the last attempt I would make before reinstalling Windows. If those don't work, it's likely a problem that would take a long time to determine and reinstalling should get someone back up and running in less time.

If it requires re-install of windows I guess I am covered. I run windows from virtual files, I have backup copies I am running windows update on one now. Then to upgrade ASCOM to 6.6, then all the new A-P programs.
Thank you all for saving me time that would have been taken trying to fix the existing copy of the virtual machine. aruckle |
