APCC PRO and Horizons
Philip B
Hi all and happy new year...
Just a quickie hopefully. I have the Pro version of APCC and recently went to use the Horizons feature in order to slew over to observe the JWST. The link within APCC takes you to the JPL Horizons Ephemeris page but I noticed that the 6th option to save the results as plain text is no longer there. I tried various ways to copy and paste the data into Horizons as plain text, including copying it from the webpage into Notepad first, saving it as TXT in order to lose any formatting and then copying/pasting that into Horizons. No matter what I did Horizons still kept on throwing out various error messages. I'm sure there is a solution to this but until I find it, it seems I cannot currently use Horizons to control the mount positioning. |

Hi Philip JPL data went through a change recently, and you may need to update your APCC to the latest you may also search the forums for discussion on this, i seem to recall the process may have changed, but I can't find that thread offhand Brian On Mon, Jan 3, 2022 at 11:11 PM Philip B <clearestimage@...> wrote: Hi all and happy new year... --

I need to read the documentation but when I did this recently, I just selected the download button, then in Horizons, just "Load" the file you just downloaded. That worked for me
