I found this illustration in the ACP Dome Control help on the dc3.com website. It shows the MPP where I thought it was initially. This is not where the moving part of the RA Axis meets the non-moving part.
I am redoing my dome geometry measurements after installing a new pier. Can someone confirm for me how to determine where the mount pivot point (MPP) is on the 1100GTO? I initially thought that this would be where the center line of the counter weight bar meets the center of RA Axis, but I have read elsewhere that it is where the moving part of the RA Axis meets the non-moving part. Which would be closer to the center of the mount. I have the latitude dimension calculator spreadsheet from the AP site that gives all the measurements for the mount, but I didn’t find measurement for the MPP. Any help would be appreciated.
