CP4 Time & Location
Wes Atchison
Trying to get my head around how the CP4 gets the time and location from a computer. I have read the manual for the CP4 and searched the topic on the group page. I understand the information from the Keypad when powered up is the location selected in the Keypad. If only a computer is attached when the CP4 is powered up I understand the time from the computer is uploaded to the CP4. Where does the location come from? Also, if a GPS is connected to the computer can that be used as the source of time and location?
If this information has been discussed before on the group I apologize or bring it up again but my search did not find an answer to my question. Wes WA5TKU |

Wes,
It comes from APCC or from the AP V2 driver.

You enter these things in the "Telescope Setup" window.

Thanks guys, sorry for taking up you time. After I posted the question I opened up " Telescope Setup" and realized there was my answer. Since getting the mount recently I have very little time out using it and forgot I had entered locations for several sites.
Thank you again for all the great support, wish other companies stood behind their product like you guys do. Best Regards, Wes WA5TKU |
