You don't need PEM unless you are doing manually guided astrophotography or CCD work. There is no other reason to turn it on. You can put the button rate anywhere. PEM playback is independent of the button rate. While manually guiding, you would naturally want 1x or slower button rate. Roland Christen Astro-Physics -----Original Message-----
