Messier 13 with 10in Newtonian and AP 1100GTO mount
That is an excellent image - I really love these ONTC scopes. I went with the 8 inch f/4 as I did not think the 10 inch f/4 was a good match for the Mach1 and it has not disappointed me. Michael Fulbr

Does APCC 1.8.0.2 update disable encoders?
This seems to happen occasionally with users - it would seem a nice enhancement and reduce the support load for AP if APCC checked for the minimum version of firmware required for a given APCC release

Mean Well power supply question
Good point but that shouldn't be too hard to change - I'm more interested in what people think in terms of it being a medical rated supply and if this means anything in terms of it being higher qualit

SideOfPier updates during long slew?
Ray, Doesn't APCC get more real time information on the mount location than this provides? The limits in APCC would seem to need this kind of information. Perhaps this would be a good candidate for fu

SideOfPier updates during long slew?
Thanks for the update Ray. Is this an ASCOM spec'd behavior or is it up to the driver to decide? I have limits setup in APCC but I was hoping to also be able to do some safety checking of the mount fr

Tracking and guiding with and without encoders - Part2
I haven't given it much thought but if you assume a Gaussian profile for your stars and the guide errors are normally distributed I would think the final FWHM of the star broadened by guide errors wou

NGC 7000 with CMOS camera
I routinely use 0.5s to 5s flats. You just need to match flat darks (darks the same length as your flats) at the same gain value. Calibration has never been an issue on my 1600. Michael Fulbright
