Through the mount USB3.0 on Mach2 trouble unrelated to temp
Nothing whatsoever. The cable is wrapped 1/2 way around in either direction internally as the mount rotates from one side to the other. It's not what you think, it's routed that way inside the mount.

One thing that may be happening with the internal cable is that it is inside the metal shafts and wraps partially around the Dec shaft before exiting out the back. That may distort the waveform enough

AP1600 autoguiding gone bad
P.S. unplugging the keypad won't do a thing one way or other. The keypad does not communicate with the mount unless you push one of the buttons. It is totally silent at all times and does not interfer

It wouldn't be a motor stall if the N-S and W buttons work. It's definitely a situation where an errant sync or recal has placed the axis hour angle underneath the mount. Roland
