Linwood, thanks for the reply. So if I was to just "enable" the REST API and do nothing else (virtual ports still assigned, etc.) it would all work as before? I got the impression from previous posts

Ok. Looks like the documentation "Field_CP4_Download_browser" Needs to be updated! When things don't go as the documentation, panic sets in and the heart rate goes high and the sweats start!

Let me make it clear - the domain ccdware.com is reported by Malwarebytes as having a trojan. It has been listed as so since Feb. 2020 on their server. It doesn't matter which product you try to view.
