What about a 12.75 inch f 4.75 Newtonian on an 1100? I also need to have it built as it is now a truss mount dob. It should have a 15 inch tube, about 52 inches long and about 35-40 pounds. The mirror

It is 25 miles from Comanche Springs - 3RF. It has a Texas Tech University Mesonet weather station on the property, which is great to have. The link is below. http://rain.ttu.edu/tech/1-output/singles

Thanks for the comments. The 16 bit CMOS makes such a difference. I can’t wait to get a lot more time on this. Robert

Because of the high humidity there was a lot of moisture in the air. Must of the subs had high thin clouds making the brighter portions glow. I left in some that messed up the brightest stars. If not

Crayford style focuser for Vario-Finder 10x60 ; 61x250 f/4.1
The helical focuser adds no extra length since you move the tube in further to accomodate it. The tube ends exactly in the same place as before inside of the extension at the end and is much easier to

There is a certain quality to the images that I like. I’m not sure I can describe it. My other scopes come and go but I want to keep the FSQ Robert

I have the N fluorite version of the FSQ-106 so I guess that means I need the UV. After looking at many different images with the N and newer version I want to keep my fluorite. Robert

They say the sensor on the ZWO ASI2600 has an IR Cut filter. I took it to mean it is just IR and not UV also so I use the IR-UV filter. I would like to know if anyone knows if an IR Cut filter is all
