Thanks Jim. I was surprised that the shutter issue did not affect it at such short exposures. Robert

Moon in Ha
I was imaging the Crescent in Ha with an almost full Moon and had to get some shots of it before I stopped imaging for the night. http://www.pbase.com/rchozick/image/157338374 Robert Chozick rchozick@

Strange "periodic" error
So, the RA drift method is the opposite of the DEC drift method as to which adjustment you do in the South versus East/West (South AZ and E-W ALT for DEC drift and E-W AZ and South ALT for RA drift)?

I understand. My confusion came from your words Classical drift alignment. I was not aware that anyone just did a drift alignment for DEC only. I only knew of one form of drift alignment and that is f

I guess the difference is that I call drift alignment the adjustment of both altitude and azimuth, not just azimuth. It is what I do every time I set up my mount in a new place to get better polar ali

I shot some all 2x2 subs with my Celestron EdgeHd 8 inch scope on my Mach1. With the 8300 chip 2x2 seems to work well at 2000mm but you cant keep the size of the final too big. I had to crop a lot any

Unorthodox first light for AP 130 GT
That is a really cool shot. The colors and clarity of the trails make this stand out. Your polar alignment is great. I love AP scopes. Robert

Tracking after power loss
I agree. Companies are making mounts only with complex astrophotography in mind. It's great AP allows a simple use. I use the keypad even with doing astrophotography. Robert

I have never had something so stuck. Every time before I could separate them. I have a few other things that stick a lot. I will definitely use some product to try to prevent it. Robert
