Hi Peter. If I keep the same orientation with the mount on one side or the other, wouldn't the geometry remain the same and not require flipping? In Nebulosity you have to do a geometric 180 deg. shif

But wouldn't you need to use the function to be able to find the object on the wrong side of the meridian? If M42 crosses at 12:00 pm and I want the handset to slew to it in the Westerly position at 9

I am not trying to be difficult but I thought part of the meridian delay program was to be able to trick the mount into slewing to an object a certain offset from the meridian. For an easy object then

I believe the software will go to the correct RA/DEC address, what will be different is the orientation of the scope as to the west or east. Robert

Yes, that is my understanding. It is only the mount position that changes, not the coordinates. Robert

You might as well get an inexpensive refractor, guide rings and guiding eyepiece instead so you will be ready for guiding when you decide to do so. At that point all you have to do is add an inexpesiv

This appears to be wireless. If so, it might be nice to not fool with the wire. It seems obvious from the picture, but this is wireless, right Danny? Robert
