Is the AP v2 5.08.08 ASCOM driver compatible with Windows 10?
Is the AP v2 5.08.08 ASCOM driver actually compatible with Windows 10? I know the instant response to this question is probably yes. Has anyone actually got it working with their AP mount? I have an o

CP3 Used Price?
Hmm... spending up to $500 for a used old CP3 when you can get the latest CP4 for only $995 (with the current promotion) makes no sense at all to me. The convenience of USB and the wireless capabiliti

CP3 Used Price?
I suspect zero or hardly worth the cost of shipping. There are going to be a lot of them around. The market for used CP3's is highly limited, and it is going to become increasingly obsolete. Chris

Starting up my new Riccardi-Honders..
My new Riccardi Honders arrived just before Christmas - exciting! All unpacked, and with the help of my two sons, I got it up on the mount on Christmas Day. Nothing like that new scope smell.. and Ast

1600GTO spur gear updates
Actually slight confusion from the thread below. Is it the bronze gear pinion that needs to be checked or the shaft around which it revolves? The hex head shaft bolt I am looking at on my AP1600GTO ce

1600GTO spur gear updates
I have just checked my AP1600GTO. The smallest pinion gear does not appear to be made of stainless steel. (Picture attached) Looks like bronze so assume I was left out? Chris

Oh OK. That warranty warning seems a bit dire/dramatic for AP. I bought mine almost exactly a year ago but do not recall any such email. I wonder if this only impacts AP1600GTO's purchased before a ce

1600GTO spur gear updates
There is a spur gear shaft update? Did I miss something? My AP1600GTO seems to work fine without any odd noises in both axis. Its less than a year old so perhaps it already incorporates updates. Chris

RAPAS reticle orientation
Yes this is a fairly easy fix and AP, but I hear of this happening so often that I feel it is a minor design flaw in the RAPAS. That small set screw never seems quite tight enough to prevent rotation

Absolute Encoders - So you need PEC?
Yes you are right. I turned on the mount this morning and no hum. I am suspecting it is some kind of electrical inteference. All of the mount power, cameras, laptop etc, are ultimately powered from on

Well the AP1600GTO is a remarkable mount! Last night I measured again the mounts PE with active absolute encoders through 6 worm cycles, and it was so small that PEMPro reported it as zero peak to pea

I believe so. There is a special cable called CABCP3AE for this purpose that runs from the Absolute Encoder control box (GTOAE) to that top serial port on the GTCOCP3. The Absolute Encoder Controller

This is probably a pretty dumb question or realization, but with absolute encoders do you even need to bother using PEMPro to analyze periodic error and send a correction curve to the mount? My new AP
