Trying to control Mach 1 from Sky Safari 5 Pro on my iPAD
Roland So what has been posted here (and ignoring which is simpler), there is no difference between: 1. Using the keypad to park in position 4, turning it off, then turning on SS to begin your GOTO vs

OK- that was a dumb question. So just how I always do it, only using the iPAD instead of the keypad. Thanks

Need advice with new Mach1GTO: Polar Alignment and drifting
I finally got some good results last night after making several adjustments with the AZ drift issue, RAPAS, and C11 tinkering. I still need to refine the PA more but it is clearly working now as I too

Thanks again.....apologies for being so dense. I think my C11" @f/5.6 presents a very narrow FOV- so that might be part of my problem. I was also north-east with Capella last night ap-gto@yahoogroups.

Roland I am at a total loss now and completely stuck. I tried to follow your steps but after I go to the first star near zenith (Mirach, in this case) and center it and then hit recal, any other star

You do not have that problem on the iPhone app. The app on the iPhone only stays open for a few seconds and then you have to open it again - every time you open it, it automatically refreshes Bruce

Thank you, Peter- correct. And to update..... After only achieving 3 mins without any drift doing the AZ adjustment, I did go pick a star in the east, just north of the celestial equator, about 20 deg

well, I am obviously not doing something right For AZ adjustment, I have a star near the meridian and just above the celestial equator and have it sitting on the crosshairs of the CCD camera software
