I just figured this out (with Howard's help). I was using TeleAPI connected to AP-GTO and this does not produce the Recal button on the Object Info window; wish it did. Thanks!

Interesting, I have the latest version 6.0.0.61 (I understood the Hotfix for RCAL was in .57). Where do I find the RCAL feature; I see the Sync, etc in the telescope tab; I must be missing something..

I have a permanent setup and use autoconnect set to "yes". When I first start up, I issue a GOTO to a known star in my target area via the keypad, which usually puts is nearly center on the CCD chip.

Autoconnect: No
Thank you much. I usually "zip" through the connection routine; I never really realized this default behavior. The clarification is much appreciated. It's a good thing I don"t run off somewhere before

AP ASCOM 4.1.25
When I set up TheSky6 (Tele API) and look at the AP ASCOM control panel, I see it shows scope on the East side of the Pier when it is in Ref Park 1. Shouldn't this show scope on West side of Pier? May

USB fails to connect to mount
The question about the USB server prompted me to post this; yet a bit off topic I suppose. My VISTA laptop in the observatory "developed" this annoying problem about a week ago. Whenever I launch TheS

For Rolando: 1200 mount working at -73C
Good grief; that keypad better have a long cable and a hand warmer. Wonder how they keep the lens from crystallizing; I think if he exhaled on it one more time it would crack into pieces. What a mount

DEC strangeness
It would be great see a You-Tube video or .wmv file of how to "tighten" these gears. The AP900 and 1200 is a bit pricey to have any doubt about what you're doing. Just a thought; I'm very mechanical b

Will there be a run of AP1200s later this year
How about a run on large refractors (>155 mm). It's been a long waiting list. My 130 EDFS is as of 2/9/00 and my 155 is as of 4/30/03. I think I lost three years since the smaller scopes aren't being

Mach1 and checking PASILL4 results
I've had similar results. When I went to the Polar Alignment tool of PEMPro2 and got very precise Polar Alignment and then viewed the PASIL4; it was shifted aside as you mentioned. I've often wondered

AP 1200 got lost again!
I don't seem to be having problems either; as long as time and location are precise. How do you connect to TheSky: Using Telescope API (ASCOM) I assume. Then do you use: "The Sky Controlled Telescope"

AC/DC power supply
Sounds like with all this modification; it would just be easier to install banana or ring adapters to the posts and use the switch to shut it off. My AP900 cig adapter is very snug in my 5 amp Pyramid
