Re: Recommendation for Observatory PC
OnLogic makes computers for extreme temperature range and they are only slightly more expensive than NUCs

Well you obviously have your opinion. Personally, I think it's
irresponsible to make a recommendation to operate some unknown device
outside it's specified tolerances. If you want to take those

Re: Recommendation for Observatory PC
I have a NUC in the dome - runs pretty much 24/7 never an issue. I'd buy it again now 3 years later. No fan, i5, I run M2 and SS drives. I do have one - 1-TB external laptop drive that has been on

There tends to be a preposterous amount of technical hand-wringing on this list, and a penchant to take things to unlikely extremes and obsess over those extremes like a worrywart.

Re: Close up of M81 without CCDT67
These images show only mild overcorrection and no obvious turned edge defects, so no need for masking the outer part of the mirror.
I will check a Roddier analysis, but won't be expecting any issues

Ok. The only way I know to do that is Dropbox. I’m not sure if that can be used for a group. What is the max file size we should send?

Please do not send big filesto the group. Some people live rural and DO NOT have fast speeds. Provide aplace where people can see them if interested.

Re: Close up of M81 without CCDT67
I got the message with the four FITS filesattached. I can't open them on this computer though (no software to openthe FITS). The total size for the four files was 10.5 MB. That seems kindof small

Re: Close up of M81 without CCDT67
I took the test shots you suggested. I used Pollux and shot 1,3,5,15.30 sec exposures inside and outside of focus. The 1 and 3 sec seemed to look the best but tell me if you want the 5, 15 and/or 30

Try installing the application first that comes with it. Try connecting to make sure the MGBox V2 is working.

Hi Brian,
I did try it with just APCC running but it’s the same – no GPS and no environmental data?
