Safety stops for the counterweight bar are always included with each mount. They are wrapped in bubble wrap and are small and sometimes get thrown out with the packing material.

I know that feeling! Actually they mistakenly shipped the safety stop for the smaller Mach1 shaft. They’re rushing me the correct one

Wayne, thanks for the report on the Mach2. I will have to live vicariously through others while I wait for my notification.
With regard to the safety stop I know it wasn't included with the Mach1

The firmware upgrade to .13 on the CP4 did the trick.
Unfortunately it lost its Home and configuration information but a few minutes tonight should fix that.

Yes, the 24-volt power supply enables the 1800x slews. The mount comes with a 24v supply. I do have a 12v-24v boost amp for when I’m on battery power, not sure how much I’ll really need it though.

Great read. Nothing like a new telescope mount. According to the published specs, the M2 is only a few lbs lighter than the 1100. Is 24v a requirement for the high speed slews?
Cheers, jg

Day started with a call from George letting me know Mach2 was out for delivery a day early. Of course I had made lots of plans for the day to free up the next day. So I thought I’d wait and unpack

Re: Advice for loading large scope on mount
I use the table method after one of my Florida astro buds showed me the method via pdf instructions. In the early phases, I used books and anything I could get my hands on to shim the OTA up until it

I have the 1000 lb hydraulic table [item 60438] from Harbor Freight. They are very well built and handy around the shop too. I do not need mine for telescope loading to a mount

Re: AP V2 ASCOM driver v5.30.07 available for download
Mark,
Thanks for pointing that out. That will be fixed in the next build. There were a lot of changes to the rate command logic with emphasis on the Mach 2 and that must have slipped through.

For any A-P folks online, I Couldn’t wait until tomorrow unboxed and started to assemble. I cannot for some reason find the counterweight shaft safety stop! Can you give me some help? Sorry!
