Re: Last night tracking with Mach2
So can anyone do this with just a mount and APPM? Using a Ha filter 2 hrs before sunset at .03sec exposure and build a model????

Re: Automating Meridian Flips with APCC Pro and with Sequence Generator
#APCC
Dean, I use SGPro and APCC very successfully with the Mach2. I set my meridian limits using the editor and enable those limits. After doing this, and picking a target that is within those

Re: Last night tracking with Mach2
I think what you're explaining is your new hand controller SW for the mach2, can you say when it might be available? I'd like to be able to use the hand controller at some point, even if it doesn't

Re: Mach1 Grease kit were? is it hiding on the site?
If I remember correctly, although I was just assisting Roland,*I* was the one who spun the axis around and tore the cable in half on the hardplastic cable guide that comes with the 1100/1600mounts.

APCC and APPM is amazing
Finally had a night with decent (not great – 2”) seeing, and this is part of a run with my 1.6 meter focal length very long refractor (AP206). 1600 mount with encoders.
Large APPM model I did

Re: Going Unguided With a Long FL Scope?
The interesting thing is, the scope arrived while I was in the rehab hospital, so one of the first things I did after coming home was to install it on the AP1200 with the help of my wife and daughter.

I'm going to have to shoot that one with my 17" astrograph. I recently shot it with my 160 refractor, also unguided. Posted here:

Re: Going Unguided With a Long FL Scope?
Hehe,
Yeah...I was wondering about a 130 mm guide scope :) Sorry about the stroke - good to see your still at it!
In the end I went and ordered an Optec TCF-Leo which should allow me to use an OAG

It was very kind of Chris to take the blame himself in his initial post. ;^)
It was one of those dope slapping moments that can easily occur at 9,000’ elevation when the brain can become a bit

Re: Going Unguided With a Long FL Scope?
Awk! I can't type any more, and apparently I can't proofread either. The diminished typing ability is due to a 2007 stroke, so I usually proofread things three times to compensate. Missed big-time

wrapping up first light, I apologize for the rather terrible reflections and total lack of any calibration frames, but for 20 mins of lum integration (@ 60 sec/image) and the crazy polar misalignment

Reversed pins are not going to reverse the commands to move. I assume that you are using ASCOM to control the mount via the USB connection. The move commands are software commands so they are not

I'm impressed! Your guide scope is ten times the aperture of your imaging scope! I'm sure you meant something different. :)

doing our first light remote, and the technician did a very rough polar alignment. the stars were visibility moving across the screen

Re: Mach1 Grease kit were? is it hiding on the site?
Yes, and I managed to break a cable on the Mauna Kea Visitor center 1100 mount doing a "regreasing" without thinking about the Dec encoder cable inside the mount. Christopher was there watching me do
