That's right. I'm using this thru ASCOM, you can use SkyX also, and MaximDL. You just need to set up a 'Watch Folder' for your images, ATrack and PinPoint do the rest. You can save your config profile

It would be unusual for an automated focuser to move the primary mirror; hence the primary is typically locked down without issue.
What scope and focuser do you have?
