Re: M83 - Southern Pinwheel in Centaurus
Very sharp detail—a nice rendition of this object.
BTW it is in Hydra (just barely) not Centaurus.

Re: APCC, APPM pointing model and camera rotation
That is correct. The camera does not do anything as far as mount functions. It's like an eyepiece with a crosshair. You can rotate the crosshair all you want, it has no effect on the mount tracking

I should have phrased the question better. I’m most concerned with unguided exposures rather than pointing. Just wanted to make sure that unguided exposures won’t be

I bought APCC pro and planned on a pointing model. But once I put the Mach1 to use I found I did not need a pointing model. I've not found any pointing error. If there is some because I unclutched

Pointing is a function between your planetarium program and the mount. You camera does not come into the equation.

Transporting counterweight shaft and weights
I made a case to transport the counterweight shaft of my (now sold) AP1200 out of PVC Schedule 80 pipe fittings – was a nice snug fit and worked perfectly. Picture is here:

Re: Regreasing an Astro-Physics mount
As far as springs, nothing to worry about on your gearbox. Just use the lever to back off the worm, then remove the 3 screws that hold the gearbox to the mount axis. That's it in a nutshell.
Of course

yeah that's a given - thanks for the heads up. Anything else due to the springs? see previous questions.

Ron,
Now that our production staff has returned, the turnaround time for repairs is pretty quick. There is no standard cost for a “ tune up” since it depends on what is involved and if parts
