Oh, okay! That's good.
There still might be a problem somewhere else though. I just wanted to establish a baseline with something that I know should work. You can at least get the mount unparked via

So I did as instructed and it appears to have worked. The only difference is the UDP /TCP connection. So now after all this time I have to wonder what happened that made UDP totally unreliable? And

Re: AP 1200 won't unpark via APCC
You power cycled the mount and APCC could not unpark your mount using TCP?
If so, please attach the APCC log file so I can see what happened.

Done and done with same results. The UDP setting was used by Howard when we had problems with the system. That’s beyond my paygrade and seeing how all was working the other night with APCC out of

Steve,
I don't know what you are trying to show in that screen shot?
Try these steps exactly:
1, Disconnect APCC from the mount.
2. Set TCP as the connection type.
3. Power off the mount and wait 5

Steve,
You can edit the initialize settings from APCC's Settings tab like in this screen shot:
Make sure unpark from last park is configured. Also, don't forget to uncheck Auto-Connect in

Re: AP 1200 won't unpark via APCC
The only apps I was using was APCC and the ASCOM driver. What others are you referring to. Yeas, ACP and Expert are running but in no way were connected to the mount or any hardware at that point.

Re: AP 1200 won't unpark via APCC
Well if I could initialize the mount I would but I get a notice that it can not initialize the mount unless RA=0 and DEC=90. The mount is parked where it always is at Park4.

Re: AP 1200 won't unpark via APCC
Steve,
You're making things way too complicated. Can you shut down all those apps and try APCC by itself. I've said this many times before do NOT connect APCC to the AP V2 driver for these tests!

From our earlier email I had said that I could not unpark using APCC and that still holds true today. I did install both the newest APCC versions and ASCOM driver this afternoon and repeated

Maybe try checking your guiding aggressivenessand response. It seems that I had a similar issue once when the guiderwas trying to overcorrect.

Which guider program?
MaximDL will do a zigzag search when it loses a guide star. The result is what you show in your image. PHD may also do something similar when the guide star is lost.

Eric,
What is your use case where you would potentially leave the mount tracking?
