Observatory for sure but I also plan to 3D print a case for it. As I mentioned I have a couple of these already. One is 12v that I use for my equipment and the other 24v I use with a different mount.

Keypad to control mewlon 250 electronic focuser
My understanding is that the AP key pad can control an electronic focuser. Has any tried this with the built in e-focuser of the mewlon?

I have the StarGPS module for AP CP2/CP3/CP4/CP5 controllers. Works precisely as advertised and Chris Carson is a pleasure to deal with.
All-in-all, I am not sure it is a critical investment unless

Eric,
Yes, StarGPS does have specific instructions for AP mounts. Here’s the link:
https://www.stargps.ca/manual.htm#astro
I forgot that another suggestion they make is to switch to UTC

There are lots of options out there. I've used this with APCC in the past:

It uses the U-blox 7 GNSS receiver internally. With Windows 10, you can plug it

It was easy to find. Thanks. Oh, I’ve already fired off a question to them asking about compatibility with the CP5. By the way, what does “set your controller properly” mean, exactly?

Eric,
I hope it works for you. I forgot to give you a link. Here it is:

I don’t have or use APCC so my StarGPS just connects directly to my old CP3 controller.

Woody,
This sounds like the ideal suggestion. That you. Correct, the CP5 does not have a 6V port.

Eric
Do you have a need for something beyond just setting the location for APCC? If not, then a phone app with GPS, followed by manual entry is about as basic, yet functional, as you can get.

How did you make and install "solid mirror locks"? Also, I assume you still built a pointing model- correct?
