Re: Connecting to GPS gives an error
Ray, I checked the COM port, and use the same one as in the GPSinfo program. The PC has two physical COM ports and one USB-to-Serial port (for the GPS) so it's hard to get it wrong.

Ray, I have the 1100 GTO with encoders. I only posted to this Mach 2 thread because it already mentioned the issue.

Re: Time Out Comm Errors on MACH2
Hi Eric,
The subject says "mach2" so I thought you meant mach2 even though you wrote "1100". You can still ignore the error. That command should not be sent, but I'll have to debug the issue.

Rolando, George,
Is there a version of the CP4 firmware that's newer than P01-14 that knows about the :m# command?

Just to clarify I think Ray posted the 6.5SP1 beta (not the prior 6.4 version), but the SP1 beta also works with APCC

Re: APPM Modelling Question wrt Focus
Thanks Ray...btw...that delay you put into APPM for dome slewing is still working like a charm for the APPM run :)

Re: APPM Modelling Question wrt Focus
Hi Tony,
It doesn't have to be the absolute best focus, but having good quality focus will provide more accurate results.

APPM Modelling Question wrt Focus
I started an APPM run and realized I didn't get the sharpest focus...its not bad but it could be a bit better. Will that be detrimental? Should I just stop the APPM run and focus as best as possible

Re: Connecting to GPS gives an error
There could be some garbage characters in the GPS's virtual port.
Make sure nothing is connected to the port by disconnecting your GPS Utility and restarting APCC.

Connecting to GPS gives an error
I have a BU-353S4 GPS that used to work.
Now when I try to connect to it, it connects, then after about 5 seconds it disconnects with the following error:
Closing GPS Connection.

Re: Time Out Comm Errors on MACH2
I just upgraded to 1.8.7.1 on my 1100 mount, and am getting the ":m3# The operation has timed out" error.
Is there a version of APCC that fixes this.

You appear to have really did spent some time trying to troubleshoot Sky Safari. Impressive that you found a work around. I originally was using Sky Safari 6 Plus and WiFi connection

Thanks Ernie, I’ll have to give this a shot. May be a moot point soon once the keypads ship. I appreciate either way.
Thanks,
