Re: Mach2 tracking below custom horizon
Voyager has a tracking watchdog. If you were using Voyager it likely started it again.

Re: Mach2 tracking below custom horizon
Hi Luca,
APCC indicates the limit was reached, and tracking had been stopped. However, if another application was connected, that application could have re-enabled tracking again.

HI Steve,
Last March, I like you obtained a new to me AP900 and was asking similar questions. Frist step I did was to register my ownership of the mount using form on this link:

I remotely updated things and I'll do that check later today when I'm out in the OBS. But I was a bit reluctant to do anything until I had a confirmation that I did things right. :)

It worked for me. Just manually slew to 5 degrees past meridian and see for yourself.

I'm finally getting around to updating the CP4 to firmware AP-CP4-vcpx-p02-08. I used the USB utility and all went well.
I would like to turn on the limit at 5 degrees past meridian. In the Terminal

Did no know I did that! Navigating all these forums can be difficult. Its not always that easy to post a message.
Here is the link from last night. There was one episode again when the mount went

That is really a beauty and the target is now on my hit parade. As soon as the moon gets out of the way, it will be my early evening target. You did a wonderful job, and thanks for bringing

Dear Geoff,
That’s a beautiful galaxy group. I love the details in your picture. I wonder if one can visually detect more than the two bright galaxies.
Best wishes,
Richard

Re: High RMS values with PHD2
Hi Peter
It looks to me like maybe your mount was slipping in alt? there appeared to be substantial polar misalignment in your setup
looking at your "before runs" that were working, you can see most

I do not know about the 600, but A-P recommends a separate power supply for their recent mounts.

Galaxy group in Eridanus
This is a nice little group which, rather surprisingly, is not often imaged. While the galaxies are not big, they still reveal some detail.
Technical information here
