Paul,
The display on all the keypads is a vacumn fluorescent type. We chose it
because of its extended temperature characteristics (rated to -40 degrees
F). It works very well in cold temperatures-

The AP Website states the capacity of the 900 GTO at 70 lbs. (31.8kg)
depending on size.
