I never got the chance to get to one or two star alignment as the
keypad froze at location choice in startup and the mount would not
slew.

which is somewhat heavier than the newer black tubes (50 vs. 40 lbs).

I said "eventually CCD" and she suggested I go with the 1200. She said the 900
would probably work but it would be safer
