What's klunky about the DSV focus control mode (I don't have the software
yet)? Perhaps Charles can adapt his software per your suggestion below.

Mine is 50 feet, with zero problems. If you were to replace the battery with
one of the 110 to 9 volt things, you would free yourself from worry, I would
think. I use one of those for another item,

Hard Case for AP900GTO
Any suggestion for a hard case to hold my AP900GTO mount? I have a
AP600EGTO that fits perfectly in a Pelican case#1650 however it will not
work with the 900GTO! I'm thinking about the Pelican#1620

Re: Polar aligning my AP 1200 mount

If you use a polar alignment scope you can get pretty close. However, you
should always drift align to make sure. It doesn't matter if your scope
is orthogonal or not to align you polar axis

John,
Thank you for the instructions on correcting orthogonality errors.
Could you (or anyone else) comment on how polar aligning and orthogonality
issues can be addressed when using a sided-by-side

* Take a thin can (eg., cat food) and cut it with scissors or tin snips
to make shims. This material is thin (about .012 inch) and easy to

Re: Rotating rings question
The Parallax rings I bought for my C8 didn't even fit. Have you thought
about CCD imaging? If you use rotating rings, would you have a problem
keeping the x and y axis of the chip aligned properly
