I don't yet have my AP900, but I have seen many issues on other scopes
such that handset use while the SW is running can confuse the SW. Most
of the scope protocols don't send handset changes

I have several of these Radio Shack USB/Serial adapters but had
continuous trouble which I eventually traced to their driver which
was not WinXP compatible. At least that was my best guess

Forget what you know about the Gemini. These are two entirely different
creatures. There is no modeling in the AP mount. If you want to build and
save a model, get either MaxPoint or T-Point.
