The orientation doesn't matter. Pulseguide just measures the RA/Dec delta
over time. However, it is important to have PEC on and trained to get an
accurate RA rate change calculation.

1) inversion of values: I just noted the following in the help
"If the Dec rate in the Pulse Guiding area is reversed in sign to the
value in dDec then you need to swap the N/S buttons.

I'm not sure why you had to invert the values. It may have to do with the
side of the mount that the scope is on. BTW, did you get the new version of
PulseGuide that I sent you

shipped only with 900GTO's and AP1200GTO's. The Mach1 Goto wasn't announced
