Another one who would advocate you getting the AP1200 with the weight,
moment arm of the refractor, and imaging.

Re: AP900 Capacity for AP
John,
Either scope alone, even geared-up would do fine on a 900, but I think that
doing both is on the hairy edge, weight-wise. I think that the guys down at
Dome C regularly go higher than this with

Hi John,
Spend the extra grand and get the 1200. You'll never regret it.

AP900 Capacity for AP
New to the AP-GTO group, and with a question:
I'm planning a mount upgrade in my permanent observatory. Pier
mounted. I'd like to put my C-11 and my Meade AR-6 on the same mount
using a side-by-side.

AP1200 guiding.
Recently I've bought three years old second hand AP1200 CP3. A week
ago I've tried to take my first guied pictures. The weather wasn't
very good that night but I made some tests.

Re: New file uploaded to ap-gto
Hi Ron, this is assuredly true. But it has been 4 years too long. I
wonder how much larger it will be than 12", to utilize the EL Biggie?

Nine Hours on NGC 2403
Dear Group,
I finished processing 9 hours of exposures on NCG 2407, Caldwell 7,
taken with my ST10XME, and AP nosepiece reducer, through a Meade 12"
LX200R, loaded up on my AP900GTO. Using the SKY,

Hi Patrick,
6 cycles is what I like to recommend. You can get away with less if seeing
is very good.

AstroDude, if I remember the documentation you should be able to get away with as little as three cycles. But I figure I have
plenty of time during the Full Moon cycle to tweak and adjust things so

I think my PE is good.
All,
I own an AP900GTO CP2 and have a Tak FSQ mounted. I finally got around
to using PemPro V2 (update 37) last night. I first used the Polar
Alignment Wizard and got my mount to under 1 arc-minute

Re: New file uploaded to ap-gto
Wow, I wonder what he is working on--which obviously needs to be
a "Big One" too, to mount on the EL Big One? Larger than the 10"
Mak?
Anyone got a clue, while the master is away?

There's too many variables to say exactly. It depends on how much free time
I can get to work on it over the holidays.
