John,
I started with the arrangement that you are proposing: C-11 and AP160 side by side with Casaday Tandem bar. I have an AP1200 CP2. That lasted only one year when a C-14 popped up and now

Re: AP900 Capacity for AP
I have an AP900 and love it. I think it can handle your configuration without any problems. However, since you've got a permanent setup, I'd recommend spending the modest extra money and get the 1200.

John,
Either scope alone, even geared-up would do fine on a 900, but I think that
doing both is on the hairy edge, weight-wise. I think that the guys down at

AP900 Capacity for AP
New to the AP-GTO group, and with a question:
I'm planning a mount upgrade in my permanent observatory. Pier
mounted. I'd like to put my C-11 and my Meade AR-6 on the same mount
using a side-by-side.

Hi Ron, this is assuredly true. But it has been 4 years too long. I
wonder how much larger it will be than 12", to utilize the EL Biggie?
