I find vignetting when then scope is used with the dec axis attached, I roughly get the SCP without the dec axis attached, gives a better view. Then fine tune with the dec axis, couter weights etc

Murray,
Are you sure it is a loose wire? Remember there is an adapter for
the illuminator that reverses the polarity when switching from the

the retaining ring that screws into the end of the polar axis, which is

I might be being a bit dense here - but aren't the scopes all the same ? I have just bought a PASILL4 for my AP900 and many of the probs you mention I can see as well.

Richard, Yves
Thank You for your response. The whole operation seems to be not
very difficult, so I will do it soon. I hope The AP1200 will survive
this operation :-)))
Happy New Year

Hi Pawel,
There is a major bug in version “G”. The main difference between the two
versions is the corrected bug. You should change to version “i”.

Yes - I was aware - but I have a loose connection somewhere in the control box and have to use the battery pack provided. I must get round to taking the lid off and trying to do something about it -

Even under heavy use these mounts don't really stress the bearings and other
mechanical surfaces. The RA gear is making a revolution every few minutes.
Most bearings are designed for many hours of use
