I think your analysis is bad. If I load the image into CCDStack the image obviously is not all one level.

Refocusing does not require re-balancing. I would not worry about it.
Seeing can be judged easily by turning tracking corrections off and watching the star excursions on the tracking graph in Dec. If

I agree lots to learn for the for the newer mount owners coming from "non-premium" mounts. I know there is tons of nuggets of info on best practices for both AE and non-AE 1100/1600 mounts with PHD

I have no idea how you are taking your images but even a short duration image in daylight can max out the pixels.
The next step is for you to use the APCC Log Zipper and zip all of the APPM logs and

FYI. I think the manual needs to be updated. The manual indicates that a balance offset is recommend on both axis

From your description it does not sound like the WiFi is toast.
Call George or Howard at AP and they can assist you in connecting to your WiFi.

The backstop won't adjust the free play. DON'T jam the back stop hard into position!
What does affect the free play is the retaining nut on the end of the worm. If this is loose or has backed off
