Thanks Geett,
That is what I was suggesting as well - but I am glad you found a perfect
fit. I will go out and buy "a dozen eggs" with 4 spares if I lose a cap. Did
you find one for the DEC

Re: Cable issues< Roland>
Roland,
Is there any reason the Y cable couldn't be made up longer so it could
be routed through the forks then up to the dec? Would this work?
cheers

We will have a simple solution that replaces all the affected the knobs with
set screws. These mount flush so the cable cannot get caught. By the way, if
you place the Dec cable into the nylon cable

That is indeed the case, Rolando. The lazziness and backbone
strength varies night to night. Some nights even a 7x50 is a pain
to "setup".
Although your suggestion of using the Mach1 as a quickie

Dean, maybe your DEC cable is longer than mine, dunno, or you're only twisting the cable in 6-7 'half' turns. Try twisting it 6-7 'full' turns. When I do this I get a widely spaced coil, similar to

Re: Cable issues
I took some photos and tried to come up with a better solution.
Since AP users are twisting the cable maybe something needs to be
looked at. I did have the cable twisted this time, maybe not
enough.
