When you put the RA cable to the Dec axis motor and press the Dec correction you will get no motion because the Dec cable is not connected to anything.

Re: DEC Axis Unresponsive
Not enough information.
When you say unresponsive, are you talking about guiding, or slewing in Dec?
1) what color is the light on your CP4 controller
2) You cannot swap cables on the 1100, they are

DEC Axis Unresponsive
Hi - looking for some help.
My DEC axis is unresponsive (1100 mount). I swapped the RA cable to see if it was a cable issue but that didn't work.
Any ideas on further root causing, or does it have to

Try using the Drift model. It is easier to do for one declination line where the object resides. You only need 4 - 5 drift points for a good model that can do 5 minutes unguided. Even 3 points will go

These look great Ernie, great work!
I have not tried custom tracking with my Mach2 and keypad, but I do get really consistent tracking by only doing the following.
Set up Mach2 and point it toward

Likely different settings for exposure time and picture amount for each location. Check for advanced settings if you can.

During an imaging session this fall, I attempted to create a custom tracking model with my Mach2 and GTO keypad. After some fiddling and experimenting, I was unsuccessful, but a two-minute test image

The rest api is for localhost communication between APCC and the driver that is running on the same computer. So Ethernet (wired or wireless) is not involved in this particular case.

Thanks legendtrail, there is a check box on the "plate solve settings" drop down that you can check to "use Fits header for RA, Dec, and image scale". Where exactly do I find the Fits Header, how do

Re: Rest API
Linwood, thanks for the reply.
So if I was to just "enable" the REST API and do nothing else (virtual ports still assigned, etc.) it would all work as before?
I got the impression from previous posts
