The key is that you want to loosen the clutch if you decide to manually push to a location. You want the clutch to slip, and not transfer your force unto the gears. Your push force is amplified

Thanks, Bill.
Hi Brian -- this was a routine task for me with my previous mount (an excellent sample of 900GTO) that I controlled 100% through an ASIAIR. I've since learned about "Unpark from"

Cold weather balancing a 1100GTO
Winter is here in Michigan and I decided I want to swap OTA's on the 1100GTO out in my observatory. I know that in the cold weather the grease seems to get thicker and fine balancing becomes "fun".

Re: Encoders and manual interventions
Loosening the clutch knobs and moving the mount manually is fine. That's why the clutches and knobs are there. Just don't loosen the switch to release the worm.

Hi Roland, I'd appreciate some clarification on this from you when you get a chance:
Before I saw this email thread, with my previous mount -- a 900GTO -- I'd loosen the clutches and initiate a GoTo,

Re: Can I set a default "Unpark from" position?
Thanks for all 3 points. The last point you mention is quite interesting and I don't remember seeing it anywhere on the doc (IIRC). I'll try it out indoors tonight!

Re: Pacman Nebula
Almost all of my images use HDRMT and LHE. Sometimes HDRMT isn't very useful on an image but I always test it out to see what results it'll have.

Yeah the 3080TI is what I use with CUDA enabled and all of the RC tools run very quickly.

Re: M8 Two Ways
As for a PC....
I have a 18 core i9 running at 4ghz with 128gb ram.
For a drizzled asi6200 full frame picture it runs in about 50 minutes.
When I added CUDA for my 3080 graphics card, is runs in 1.5

Oh and one more thing, you can connect both USB and Ethernet at the same time and APCC can fail back to USB in it's own in the event of a problem with the Ethernet connection.
