Drift is altered slightly by refraction. PEMPro estimates and removes the error introduced by refraction, which results in a more accurate result.

One important thing that I think PEMPro's Polar alignment has over PHD2 is compensation for refraction. As far as I know no other application has this feature.

Hmm... no workaround needed for me. Did the v4.19.0 install by the book and it worked fine from "Resume Last Position". Made sure Auto Connect =No and the date was correct.

Your mount is most likely working correctly. You may have a severe orthogonal misalignment in your telescope.

I am still struggling with aligning my new 1600. So, I purchased a RAPAS and installed. I aligned the mount using the instructions included and spent the first night just verifying Polaris' path.

what i mean is that what the camera manufacturer told you is wrong - drivers on the OS X side are not necessary to make hardware work in the virtualized windows environment. you're probably looking at
