Re: Recommended PHD2 setting for Mach1GTO?
Yes you should guide at 1.0 not 0.5.

Recommended PHD2 setting for Mach1GTO?

Re: 1600 mount tracking/guiding test
Wow, I think PHD has minmo set to .2 for each axis by default. I may have to try the 5 second calibration and these min/mo settings.
Does MaximDL have aggressiveness settings?

OOps! That should read 5 x 20 minute exposures.

Re: 1600 mount tracking/guiding test
I use MaximDL, however PHD would give the same results. There's nothing magic going on. I did a 5 second calibration run, set Min/Max move to 0.5 sec and 0.01 seconds. The mount is properly polar

Impressive guiding and impressive image results!
Now I am curious how you configure your guider (and how to translate that to PHD guiding)...

1600 mount tracking/guiding test

Had a calm night of good seeing, did some testing on the 1600 mount with 17" F8 astrograph. Guider scale is 1 arc sec per pixel. Guide subs were 20 sec. each. Note RMS guide values(peak values

Re: Microsoft .Net Framework Unhandled exception. Cannot create Active X Component
Hi Barbara,
One thought--make sure your .Net framework 3.5 is active. A recent update on my Win10 laptop installed 4.6 (I believe)--and I had to reactivate the 3.5 service under "Windows Features"

Re: Any astrophotography specialist in NY area? [Mach1GTO / Stellarvue 80mm]
A detailed list of equipment would be good. There are many small but critical pieces. Maybe you could forward me the invoices so I can check the inventory. Who did you purchase from?

Well I have an AP-900 permanently mounted in my yard. Andre could set up the Mach1 seperately and we could image with my equipment and the Mach1.
Give me your email address and I will send you some

Re: Confused about SKY CHARTS program and APCC Tracking
Thanks Rolando,
Makes sense – since it was told to “disconnect itself”,Sky Charts has “no further reason” to poll the mount for tracking status – SkyCharts job had come to an end.

Hi Steve,
Nice! And do you how to set everything, Mach1 and Stellarvue 80?
Someone in NYC it would be best, but there's a possibility to Andre drive until where you are. :)
