Re: Odd tracking/guiding behavior
Sounds mechanical, not electronic. We can check out the RA axis, but you would need to talk directly with Howard or George about your situation, and they may want you to do some simple tests.

Re: Odd tracking/guiding behavior
Mike,
Is there an OPTEC log which might indicate very minor rotatorcompensation, (due to the STL series cameras (chin) balance offset), trying tostay on-angle?
Do some runs with rotator powered

Re: How to refine PEC?
You would can use the "Refine" tab, but I wouldn't with a Pk-Pk of 0.3 arc-secs. The PEC scheme in the CP3 and CP4 is excellent so you should be able to get below 1.0 Pk-Pk without a refinement.

You can do that, but DON'T download it into your mount. It will wipe out the gain that you made with the first one. The second curve needs to be added to the first, and the sum is then downloaded. If

Re: How to refine PEC?
AH, never mind. I'm an idiot. I measured the corrected PE with PEM on and after 6 cycles the corrected PE is only 0.3 arcs peak to peak. So I will leave it at that.

How to refine PEC?
I have measured the raw PE of my Mach1GTO, and with PEC off the PE is 5.3 peak to peak. After recording 6 worm cycles and uploading the PEC curve the new PE is 1.2 peak to peak.

Re: Dual OTA's and pointing...
Thanks Woody. I have the ADM but it’s for the “D” size. The ADM “V” model has a Vixen slope, which I do not want.

Woody,
Would you happen to have the links to the ASA and Baader alt az units? I can't find them anywhere.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
Woody's suggestion is a good one as long as you remember a few things: 1. You may still have some differential flexure between the two scopes, even after aligning the heavy-duty adjustable
