Re: DEC delay in reversal
Yes, there is a screw that holds the spur gear on the end of the worm shaft. If it is loose, then it can explain a lag in reversing the worm motion.

That would imply that the worm and worm wheel are not in full contact.

Hi Suresh,
Your approach on “swapping gear boxes” provides another(potential) advantage, which I had not previously considered.
It appears possible that for whatever reason, either

Hi Andrew,
It won't matter to any significant amount if you update PEC before or after building a sky model.

If my PEC Curve is out of date could this account for some of the variation between the East and West side? I still have the factory PEC Curve on my Mach 1. Getting into the PEC module of

The grub screw was loose and moved over the shaft ; I’ve tightened it over the flat spot , will test tonight , in daytime observation I still feel a lag between east and west movement perhaps

Ok I tested on a distant object , I can see delay of about 4-5 seconds before it reverses direction , but the worm shaft is immediately reversing only the big wheel isn’t

Hi Andy,
Yes you did not say that. My bad. Just has the collision and put two and two together without proper analysis.

Anyway consequently my guiding in DEC looks like
