Re: Cold weather performance of Astro-Physics mounts
I used my year 2007 AP1200 at -10F last night after a break of practically a year. I am accustomed to a bit of high pitched squeal during the first few slews on a cold night. (p.s. I run at 15V).

As you probably know, we've had some very cold clear nights the last couple of days. We are located just south of the Wisconsin border, so we get similar cold temps. Right now my observatory

Re: Can't access GTOCP4 again ?
Spent the day. Finally got it working again. Solution? I'm not sure- however, I did remove the CP4 from it's normal connection to the mount (for my setup) and jostled it around - wiggled connections,

Cold weather performance of Astro-Physics mounts
I'm considering the purchase of the Astro-Physics 1100GTO. I live in Wisconsin and I'm concerned about its cold weather capability when imaging? I've been known to image in 0 degree temperatures,
