Re: First light with Mach1 - a query
I guess one side question out of my long-winded one that I'd be keen to see if there's an answer to is is there a way to force the driver (or APCC or whatever) to accept an RCAL it thinks is too far

Thanks for responding. The support e-mail will not be answered on the weekends since the office is closed.
Here's the deal: your measurements are probably accurate if you followed the PEMPro Wizard

Re: PHD "freezes" trying to settle after dither : PHD Dev believes issue may be in AP ASCOM
I have never said that there's a bug in the driver. I am saying that I have not seen the issue with PHD2 and SGP related to dithering. It could be operator error from OP.

I have spent hours trying unsuccessfully to reproduce the problem by removing PHD2 from the picture so I am almost certain this issue is not a bug in the driver.
I don't have or use the latest

Hi Ray,
OK. Like I said before, I have not experienced strange issues related to dithering with PHD2 and SGP. My only complaint is that sometimes dithering can take longer than I would expect but that

PE measurements of our mounts
Howdy All,
I recently became aware of a post on Cloudy Nights from one of our customers who received his Mach1 and loaded up his gear on it and proceeded to measure the periodic error using PEMPro.

Roland,
Can you help us all understand the absolute value in the encoder kit? I would be semi interested in that. :)

Re: First light with Mach1 - a query
Thanks Rolando. I'm not sure that was the issue. My PA was only 0.5 degree out at most, and in any case I didn't do any slew in that sequence until the PA was spot on.
I guess I must've done something

Re: [ap-ug] Astro-Physics now accepting 1100GTO orders again
Folks, this is a deal for a precision US made mount that's designed, machined, assembled by our dedicated team of really talented (and great) people. Don't pass this up!

Re: PHD "freezes" trying to settle after dither : PHD Dev believes issue may be in AP ASCOM
I don't recall having dithering issues with PHD2 and SGP. When I first started using dithering with PHD2 and SGP, I started with pretty small settling size (in pixels) and it never stopped dithering

The only known way to get the problem to occur is with PHD2's dithering routine so if you want to keep looking into the problem that’s where I think is the best place to start. Note that users

Re: Another APCC question
That is not really strictly true. Equatorial mounts don't care about their location since they care only if they are properly aligned on the pole and that their local time is known exactly. Only
