Re: Reliable DC-Powered USB Hub?
I had a StarTech 4 port powered hub that I thought had a bad port after a short time. I tried different cords, plugged in different devices, moved to it another setup and still couldn't get it to

Re: Is the AP email working well?
Thank you for your answer.
But my problem is that lately I can't communicate with the people at AP (email: astro-physics.com), I think my email doesn't reach them or their answers don't reach me.

Yup, something’s wrong at your end. I’ve been seeing LOTS of replies.
Have you checked your junk or SPAM folders? Also check the junk or SPAM folder’s on your ISP’s webmail account for

Is the AP email working well?
I'm sorry to ask here, but I'm treating with them this oval star problem that I have on my Mach1 and suddenly haven't heard from them in over a week.
They usually respond very quickly and I'm afraid

I use:

It happily takes 12VDC input. These are actually the USB 3.0 version of the same power hub that Kendrick uses in their Power

Hi Manu,
Actually, the added new line character you are having a problem with can act as a trigger to *prevent* the delay caused by the Nagle algorithm. This can result in significantly decreased

Ty Bryan
I am a true novice at this.
All help is really appreciated, the most simple is best!
Should I purchase a PC just for astrophotography, and if so, what would you recommend.
I would only use it

Hi Manu,
A quick Google search comes up with the link below. Even this document, which just has the earliest protocol commands, shows that some responses do not have a "#"

Notwithstanding my other note, I generated a list of software that might be of use. The list is incomplete at this time. For example, there are likely other apps for pointing or camera control

Are you one of the LINUX developers working on this? Or a user helping to debug the "problem"?
First, not all responses to commands end in a "#". :-)
Second, TCP is a streaming protocol so

I agree totally on the importance of a red backlit keyboard. I have a 15.6" HP Omen laptop which I totally love. It has the red backlit KB, 1TB HD, 8GB Ram and i7. It also has 2 USB3 and a USB2
